A Fresh Twist for 2025

This year, we're doing something new. Alongside our in-person gallery show, selected works will also be featured in Fruit Forward: The 2025 Collection — a beautifully printed, limited-edition sketchbook designed to spotlight the vibrant, unapologetic creativity of our local LGBTQ+ artists.

About the Exhibit

What is Art OUT? Art OUT is OUT Arts & Culture's annual juried art exhibit celebrating LGBTQ+ artists in Gulfport and beyond. Selected works will be showcased throughout the month of October 2025 in a local gallery (location TBD), alongside a launch party and printed keepsake release.

Call for Artists

Ready to Submit? We’re inviting artists to submit their work for:

The Art OUT Juried Exhibit (October 2025)
Fruit Forward: The 2025 Collection (printed sketchbook)

You can submit one piece to be considered for both, or two different works if you prefer.

Who can apply: LGBTQ+ artists 18+ from Gulfport and surrounding areas
Submission fee: $25
Deadline: August 31, 2025
Mediums accepted: All visual mediums that can be photographed or scanned for print
Grants available: Yes! We awarded $6,000 to local artists in 2024

We want to thank all the artists who participated in this powerful exhibit as well as our fantastic panel of jurors. View the art online or at the Gulfport (FL) Public Library. Winning art will be displayed at The Gulfport Library from June 1-30, 2024.

This is the 8th year of ArtOUT and the third as an international juried show. The primary purpose of ArtOUT is to reinforce the mission of OUT Arts & Culture, “to promote awareness of the diversity of experiences, contributions and needs of people who are lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and/or queer”.
